Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 2026

Every tool in Vivy processes your documents entirely on your device. We do not upload, transmit, or store your files on any server, and we have no access to their content.

1. Introduction

Vivy ('we', 'our', or 'the app') is a PDF toolkit developed by Haithm Mekhlafi. This Privacy Policy explains what information Vivy collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Vivy is built around a simple principle: your documents belong to you, and they never leave your device.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Your Documents

Vivy does not collect, upload, or have any access to the files you scan, create, or edit. All document processing happens locally on your device using on-device libraries.

2.2 Usage Analytics

To understand how Vivy is used and to improve the app, we use Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) to collect anonymized usage data, such as: which tools are opened and used, whether a user is on the free or Premium plan, app language and country, and paywall views and purchase completions. This data is aggregated and is not linked to the content of your documents.

2.3 Advertising Data

Vivy displays advertisements through Google AdMob for users on the free plan. Depending on your consent choices (managed through Google's consent framework, and, on iOS, Apple's App Tracking Transparency), ads may be personalized based on advertising identifiers. You can decline ad personalization at any time; Vivy will continue to function normally, and you will still see ads unless you upgrade to Premium.

2.4 Purchase and Subscription Data

Subscriptions and one-time purchases in Vivy are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play Billing, and managed through RevenueCat, a subscription management service. Vivy does not receive or store your payment card details. RevenueCat and the app stores may retain purchase history and subscription status as necessary to provide and validate your purchase.

2.5 Device Permissions

Vivy requests the following device permissions, each used strictly for its stated purpose: Camera, to scan documents (used only while actively scanning; no image data is transmitted anywhere). Photos and Files, using your device's own system picker to let you select images or PDFs to work with (Vivy does not have standing access to your entire photo library or file system). Notifications, to send local reminders such as a re-engagement nudge or a daily tip (generated entirely on your device; no notification content is sent from any server).

3. How We Use Information

We use the limited data described above to: operate and maintain the app; understand aggregate feature usage so we can improve Vivy; show advertisements to free-tier users; process and validate purchases and subscriptions; and send local reminder notifications, which you can disable at any time in Settings.

4. Third-Party Services

Vivy relies on the following third-party services, each of which processes limited data as described above under their own privacy policies:

  • Google Firebase (Analytics)
  • Google AdMob (Advertising)
  • RevenueCat (Subscription Management)
  • Apple App Store / Google Play (Payment Processing)

We encourage you to review these providers' own privacy policies for more detail on how they handle data.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Data described above is shared only with the third-party service providers listed above, and only as necessary for them to perform their function (analytics, advertising, or payment processing).

6. Data Security

Because your documents are processed entirely on your device, they are protected by your device's own security, such as a passcode, biometric lock, or full-disk encryption. We recommend enabling your device's built-in security features. Any analytics or purchase data transmitted to third-party services is protected using industry-standard security practices by those providers.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You can, at any time:

  • Decline personalized advertising through your device's ad settings or the in-app consent/privacy options screen.
  • Disable notifications in Vivy's Settings or your device settings.
  • Delete all locally processed files at any time from within the app or your device's file manager.
  • Uninstall the app, which removes all locally stored app data from your device.
  • Contact us (see below) with any questions about your data.

8. Children's Privacy

Vivy is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.

9. International Users

Vivy is available in multiple languages and countries. Depending on your location, the analytics, advertising, and payment data described above may be processed by our third-party providers in countries other than your own, in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the app or applicable law. The 'Last Updated' date at the top of this page indicates when this policy was last revised. Continued use of Vivy after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
