We built FiNote to help you, not to track you. We treat your data with the same respect we want for our own families.
Welcome to FiNote. This Privacy Policy describes how we (the FiNote Development Team) collect, use, process, and disclose your information, including personal information, in conjunction with your access to and use of the FiNote mobile application.
When this policy mentions "FiNote," "we," "us," or "our," it refers to the FiNote App Administration, acting as the Data Controller of your information.
2. Information We Collect
We only collect what is needed to make the app work and sync across your devices. We don't ask for your ID or bank passwords.
A. Information You Give Us
- Account Data: Your email address. This is required solely for authentication, allowing you to log in and retrieve your data on new devices.
- Financial Content: The transaction amounts, categories, budget limits, notes, and account names you manually input into the app.
B. Information We Collect Automatically
- Usage Information: We may collect anonymous data about how you use the app (e.g., how often you open it) to help us improve the interface.
- Device Data: Log data such as your device model and operating system version, which helps us fix crashes (bugs).
3. How We Process & Access Your Data
We use your data to keep your app synced. Our team only accesses the database for technical maintenance or if you ask for support.
We process your information for the following specific purposes:
- To operate, protect, improve, and optimize the FiNote experience.
- To maintain a synchronized backup of your data on our secure cloud servers (Google Firestore).
Administrative Access to Data
To ensure service reliability, authorized technical personnel (App Administration) maintain administrative access to the database infrastructure. This access is strictly regulated and is used solely for:
- Database integrity checks and maintenance.
- Debugging critical technical issues if reported by the user.
- We do not access, read, or analyze your personal financial records for marketing or curiosity.
4. Your Rights & Account Deletion
You are in control. You can leave anytime, and we will wipe your data completely.
You have the right to delete your account and all associated data permanently at any time. We have made this process simple and automated within the app:
How to delete your data:
- Go to Settings
- Tap on Manage Account
- Select Delete Account
- Follow the on-screen confirmation instructions.
Upon completion of these steps, your data is immediately queued for deletion from our cloud servers and cannot be recovered.
5. Third-Party Infrastructure
We do not sell data. However, we use trusted infrastructure providers to make the app function:
- Google Firebase (USA): Used for secure database hosting, authentication, and analytics.
- RevenueCat (USA): Used to manage subscription statuses and restore purchases. RevenueCat does not see your specific expenses or notes.
6. Changes to This Policy
FiNote reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time in accordance with this provision. If we make changes to this Privacy Policy, we will post the revised Privacy Policy on the FiNote website and update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
